Hubballi, Karnataka: Neha Hiremath, aged 24, was allegedly stabbed multiple times in the neck with a knife by Fayaz, her ex-classmate. Both pursued Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Applications (BCA) at B V Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology in Hubballi, Karnataka.
Incident Details
According to OpIndia, Fayaz reportedly waited discreetly for Neha to exit the college before attacking her with a knife, concealing his face with a mask. The entire incident was captured on CCTV. The brutal assault left Neha severely wounded, while Fayaz fled the scene with the weapon in hand.
The footage shows Fayaz confronting Neha as she attempted to flee, restraining her, and repeatedly stabbing her. Despite the intervention of several bystanders, the assailant managed to escape. Neha was rushed to KIMS Hospital by fellow students who witnessed the horrific ordeal, but tragically, she succumbed to her injuries and passed away.
It was reported that Fayaz had been pressuring Neha to enter into a relationship with him, which she repeatedly declined. Frustrated and angered by rejection, after months of stalking, he resorted to the fatal attack.

Following the murder, Fayaz, who had been on the run, was apprehended by the police. Investigations are ongoing, with authorities stating that Fayaz had expressed his intention to eliminate Neha to friends, confirming his deadly intent.

An investigating officer added, “It appears to be a case of a spurned lover driven to violence. We are also questioning Neha’s friends and relatives to gather further insights into the motive behind the murder.”
