Surajpur police detained a woman, her brother, and her two minor daughters on suspicion of murdering a man and suspending his body from a tree. The accused claimed that the man had frequently harassed the minor girls, prompting the family to act in self-defense on the night of May 1.
The incident unfolded in the Pratappur region, where a body was discovered hanging from a tree, suggesting foul play. An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was strangulation and physical trauma.
