A 6-year-old disabled boy lost his life after his mother allegedly threw him into a crocodile-infested river following a quarrel with her husband in Dandeli taluk, Uttara Kannada district, Karnataka.
The mother, identified as Savitri (36), and her husband, Ravi Kumar (27), have been arrested by the police in connection with the incident. According to reports, the couple often argued about the condition of their elder son, who had been speech-disabled since birth. Savitri’s husband allegedly criticized her for giving birth to a child with disabilities and, on occasions, even suggested getting rid of the child.
[adinserter name="Seven"]The horrifying incident unfolded on Saturday night when Savitri and Ravi Kumar had a heated argument over their son’s disability. In a fit of rage, Savitri allegedly threw her son into a waste canal directly connected to the crocodile-infested Kali River around 9 pm.

Despite their efforts, the darkness hampered the search, and the child’s body was only retrieved the following morning. The police discovered severe injuries and bite marks on the child’s body, along with a missing hand, indicating a crocodile attack.
