A 29-year-old man took his own life in Uran, Navi Mumbai, allegedly due to harassment by a woman, as per reports from the PTI.
The deceased’s wife has filed a complaint with the police, holding the woman responsible for pushing her husband to this drastic step.
The police, acting on the complaint, have filed a case against the 31-year-old woman under section 306 of the Indian Penal Code, citing abetment of suicide.
The man was found dead at the woman’s residence on January 13, triggering suspicion regarding the circumstances leading to his demise.
According to the victim’s wife, the accused woman had been relentlessly pressuring her husband to divorce her and marry her instead. This pressure seemingly drove him to end his life by hanging himself at the woman’s place in Uran.
