In Pennsylvania, a 51-year-old man is facing charges after police discovered his unconscious mother in a disturbing state. She was found “fused” to her bed, which was infested with maggots.
The Upper Chichester Police Department received a call from a concerned neighbor who noticed several Amazon packages and unopened food bags piled up at the front door. Despite attempts to make contact, no one responded.
When officers arrived, they observed trash scattered inside and flies buzzing around the windows, prompting concerns for the residents’ welfare. Upon entering the home, officers encountered Daniel Klein, the son of the unconscious woman.
Klein led them to his mother’s room, claiming she was asleep. However, the scene inside was appalling. The front door was obstructed by heaps of trash and packages, emitting a foul odor.

Paramedics were called to assess her condition and transport her to the hospital for urgent medical attention. Meanwhile, Klein was arrested and charged with abuse of a dependent person and recklessly endangering another person.

Residents expressed disbelief and lamented the lack of awareness about the situation. Klein was taken into custody and is currently held at the George Hill Correctional Facility, with bail set at $50,000.
