The fatal explosion that claimed the lives of Jitendra Vanzara (32) and his daughter Bhumika (12) in Vadali village of Gujarat’s Sabarkantha district on Thursday is believed to have been caused by a parcel sent to their home by an individual suspicious of Vanzara’s relationship with his wife, as stated by police authorities.
According to the Ahmedabad Mirror, at approximately 12:30 PM on Thursday, an auto-rickshaw driver delivered the parcel, appearing to contain a black-colored musical instrument, to Vanzara’s residence.
[adinserter name="Five"]As Vanzara, accompanied by his daughters Bhumika and Chhaya, as well as 14-year-old neighbor Shilpa, began to unwrap the package, it detonated, according to an FIR lodged at Vadali police station based on a complaint filed by Vanzara’s cousin brother Pravin Vanzara.
Believing the device to be similar to a tape recorder, Vanzara attempted to connect it to an electrical outlet, triggering the explosion, according to details outlined in the FIR.
Upon their arrival at the local health center, Vanzara and his daughter Bhumika were pronounced dead. Chhaya and Shilpa sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital, with one of the girls listed in critical condition.
[adinserter name="Six"]Two individuals have been detained by police for questioning: the auto-rickshaw driver responsible for delivering the parcel, and Jayanti Vanzara, suspected of sending the explosive package to Jitendra’s house due to suspicions of an affair between Jitendra and Jayanti’s wife.
Yugmarg couldn’t independently verify the claims, as some media outlets like News 18 suggest that the sender allegedly targeted Jitendra Vanzara because he was upset about his former girlfriend marrying Jitendra. This implies that Jitendra’s wife, was previously in a relationship with the sender of the bomb or the accused.
[adinserter name="Seven"]However, as per Ahmedabad Mirror, Jitendra Vanzara was suspected of having an affair with the sender’s wife. This suggests that the sender’s wife was allegedly involved with Jitendra Vanzara.
[adinserter name="Eight"]Police are currently conducting investigations to collect additional evidence and unravel the motives and conspiracy behind this premeditated attack involving an explosive-laden package disguised as a musical instrument.
