A Minnesota woman stands accused of drowning her infant son in a hotel bathtub and disposing of his body in a dumpster, as reported by various news sources.
Police encountered Esperanza Rae Harding, aged 20, at a Bloomington hospital on March 6 while investigating a missing child report, according to documents obtained by KMSP.
[adinserter name="Three"]Harding informed officers that her child had passed away at the hospital, but investigators found no evidence of the boy’s presence there.
Subsequently, Harding admitted to police that her baby had died on February 28, stating that she had drowned him in a hotel bathtub, as reported by KARE.
[adinserter name="Four"]She expressed frustration with her baby’s crying, lamenting that it disrupted her bath, according to the documents cited by KMSP.
Harding also allegedly messaged an 18-year-old man named Edwin Trudeau, whom she was involved with, confessing her actions, as per Bringmethenews.com, citing court documents.
[adinserter name="Five"]Trudeau, she claimed, harbored dislike towards her child.
When Trudeau arrived at the hotel room, he purportedly attempted CPR on the child, but their efforts were unsuccessful, officials stated.
[adinserter name="Six"]Afterward, they reportedly engaged in sexual activity in another room while leaving the deceased child on the bathroom floor.
[adinserter name="Two"]According to KARE, documents suggest that Harding concealed the body, placed it in a backpack, and discarded it in a dumpster.
[adinserter name="Seven"]Despite being aware of the situation, Trudeau allegedly failed to alert authorities and is now facing charges as an accomplice.
[adinserter name="One"]Harding herself is charged with second-degree murder, as reported by KMSP.
