Firozabad, October 4, 2023: A few individuals reportedly ran over a tractor on a 60-year-old man in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday night as a result of a land dispute, according to police.
According to them, the guy who had gone to claim a piece of property he had won at auction died there while the two female constables who had been with him were hurt.
A property plot in Garhi Kalyan was acquired by Jagdish, a resident of Fatehpura in the Narkhi region, in an auction in 2003, according to Superintendent of Police (City) Sarvesh Kumar Mishra. However, there was considerable disagreement over who actually owned the land.
Tehsildar Sadar Pushkar Singh and the police went to the hamlet on Tuesday to resolve the conflict and give Jagdish custody of the land in response to his complaint. When they arrived, Netrapal and Indraveer of the opposing side drove a tractor over Jagdish, murdering him then and there, according to the SP.
